For me, I'd like to see McDoom get more involved on offense instead of just the occasional jet sweep or garbage time. TJ Wheatley, too. They call him a freak but I think the only thing he's done is block this year.

Maybe it's just me, but that jet sweep looks somewhat predictable sometimes. When McDoom is in the game then goes in motion, it seems like he gets the ball every time. They FINALLY started incorporating some fakes on it last game against Penn State, but before that it was almost 100 percent that the ball would be given to that player coming across the formation.

No, I agree. The wife and I were re-watching the PSU game after our son went to bed and we said the same thing. Then I said it might be a little rope-a-dope for opposing coaches..

They're going to study the M film ..see that whenever McDoom comes in it's a Jet Sweep and then ...set them up on a fake to McDoom, long bomb to Chesson or the like.

Now if the OC were Al Borges, I'd say McDoom on field = Jet Sweep 100% of the time. These coaches are more savvy than that and I think the O will progress out of that formation.

I'm confident that the obviousness was by design. Solidify it early in the season then play with people's heads the rest of the way. With the inconsistency in the regular running game, it's a nice element to have.
