HARD CHOICES POLL #4 – WHICH ILITCH?
Totally Tigers

In recognition of the long holiday week that celebrates both Passover and Easter, we’re providing quicker Detroit Tiger fixes for our readers. Afterall, you’re either waiting for hours in line at the airport or scrambling to get ready for guests.
Every day this week, we’re offering new polls for you to cast your votes and have your say. But just not any.
They’re going to be tough. On purpose.
We’re going to give you several choices for each question. One vote only. No substitutions.
Today’s poll involves past and current owners. You are going to be choosing between Mike Ilitch and his son, Chris. (For the record, keep in mind that Chris is technically not the owner but runs the franchise as the head of the trust made up primarily of family members.)
You’re going to evaluate each on:
  • Length of ownership vs accomplishments
  • Stages of ownership (tearing down, building, competing, status quo)
  • Accomplishments
  • Landmark decisions
  • Franchise development
  • Franchise improvement
  • Personnel hired
  • Overall organization infrastructure (MLB and MiLB levels)
  • Win-loss record
Mr. I bought the team in 1992. Chris took it over in 2017. Here is the link to see the year-to-year results for the MLB level:
Detroit Tigers Team History & Encyclopedia | Baseball-Reference.com
Evaluate each owner for their work with the Tigers only. No projects (such as parking lots or District Detroit) outside of the Tigers should be considered.
Mr. I’s history has been written. Chris, on the other hand, is an owner in progress. You may consider what he is likely to do in the near future based upon his patterns seen within the past couple years.
As you consider the tear down and rebuild, keep in mind that Mr. I created the problem and that Chris had to solve it.
Which owner has done the most for the team? Which owner has made the best lasting impression?

Which owner has done the most for the Tigers franchise?

1. Chris Ilitch

2. Mike Ilitch

Is this another way to say he sent her a dick pic?

Chris Illitch is on the verge of losing Skubal AND Larkin in the same year. Let that sink in. The media in Detroit is totally spineless and instead of making this the storyline and finally saying enough is enough they will continue to ignore it because he gives them free little caesars pizzas after games and a ride on the team plane.
