Officials from THE GAME... OMFG!

I hadn't noticed this before, but if you look at the last play where they give Barrett the first down, the OSU blocker's left knee is behind the 15 and his body is turned to the right so that his right side and hip are behind his left side so that side of his body has to be behind the 15. It is not physically possible for his right side and ass to be even at the 15. Barrett has the ball in his right arm and he hits the blocker's right side, so the ball cannot have reached the 15. This confirms that Harbaugh was exactly right that the ball was about a foot short of the first down. Who was the line judge that made that spot?

With all these bad/missed calls and the information that has emerged on the three officials, it seems like an investigation on how these refs were chosen to officiate this game would be appropriate. Anyone calling for an investigation by the B1G and/or NCAA?

It has been discussed that the official that spotted the ball at the 15 was the Spartan fan official. I don't know how accurate that is, but I really have no reason to dispute it.

I was just talking about this again. It's not about getting over it and accepting it. If we accept this shit, it will continue. If a kid acts up and the parent ignores it, guess what? The kid will believe that this is accepted behavior, which is what we have today.

88's ass was on the wrong side of the 15 yard line. JT Barrett ran right into his own player and fell straight down. No way in hell the ball made it, it was impossible.

I just want to know if it is indeed a rule that they shouldnt have been on the field cause they are from that state....then how the hell did they end up there? Someone needs to answer that.....

I can't seem to find anything but Google is making my eyes cross as I try...

This is what i've concluded. We have to go back a bit to a game between JoePa coached Penn St and Lloyd Carr coached Michigan. After the game and some controversial calls, JoePa complained that three of the refs in that game were from Michigan. After this, the big 10 supposedly instituted a rule that refs weren't to be from the state of the two participants as to avoid any claim of bias. The big 10 didn't rule that any bias had taken place in that game, but as to avoid even a hint of this, they made this rule for the future.

Here is a link about the PSU-UM game

There was, also, an mgoblog post about the '05 PSU-UM conspiracy

http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/05-michigan-penn-state-conspiracy

Harbaugh referenced this rule in his complaint and asked when this change of policy took place. I guess no one was notified that they changed the policy of not allowing instate refs to work games.

When watching those clips of the game, the things that reeeeaaaaaally stick out is the commentary by Fowler and Herbstreit. Very forgiving and not one time disagreeing with any of it. Plus, usually throughout a game, any game, announcers usually tell the viewer what is going on in the trenches and other things you arent paying attention to(things off camera). The annohncers usually bring attention to these things, not these guys.

We sacked the shit out of Barrett, there was LOTS of holding. None of it was called and that is horrible and very telling that Herbstreit and Fowler said nothing.

Yeah I was pissed at the very bias broadcasting by Fowler and Herbstreit. Pretty embarrassing how they just never questioned the officals . It was bullshit.
