he said WMU was amoving on us and we were lucky

i said they were passing on us and starting with field position, but they were getting rattled and 15 minutes was not enough time to score 24 points let alone 31

This. Western was rattled in the third quarter, and our offense was starting to pound the run. In my opinion, the score was about to break open.

The players for both Michigan and Western left the field and came back on at the same times, just like the Notre Dame and USF players did too.

i was surprised that lightening flashes happend and we still had a play or two get off

Yeah, the announcers were talking about it. It seemed like 5min after the first lightning flash before they called it.

Michigan was clearly dominating when the game was called. WMU was done. Made sense to end the game with the conditions being as they were. Too dangerous! I would have liked them to finish it just for the stats. The holes the O line was opening up on that last drive were big enough to drive two trucks through.
