Pat Caputo 97.1 Fm radio Host passes away

I have been listening to 97.1 from Grand Rapids for the last five-ish years and I have listen to all the shows. Pat had so much knowledge about all of Detroit Spots. He was a legend in Detroit Media and radio. He knew so much about all sports and I listen to him on the radio especially the weekends when I had to work.

I learned he had Pancreatic cancer on January 5th 2026 the day i was having my pet scan to see if my prostrate cancer had spread. (So far it has not spread) He lasted only 4 months since he was diagnosed.

Cancer can go to hell.

Just saw this. I had a Twitter DM chain with Pat several years ago and we determined that we played HS baseball against each other. He will be missed.
