I just turned on CNN and saw Obama wrapping up a speech. I didn't catch where he was speaking from.

Not that big of a deal it's not like he's never been there before but still it's the president.

Wolf Blitzer is on now and he hasn't indicated whether or not Obama is going to be able to get up by the HGTV Urban Oasis house on Spring Street.

At Ray fisher stadium

If ourse harbaugh and other coache's there

Harbaugh got a mention in the Simpsons last night and potus today

Reports are saying that it was at Ray L. Fisher Stadium, where the baseball team plays.

It did look like people were watching him from behind a screen; I guess he was standing at home plate.

I don't know if he said anything about the Cubs.

I do know he's primarily a White Sox fan.

I gotta head out; I'm gonna try to catch clips of both on the internet later.

I don't find any pics of today's event yet but it just finished up.

EDIT: I would guess Harbaugh is probably a Republican like Bo was, but when the president comes to town - whoever the president is at a given time - it's respectful for the local dignitaries to get out there and greet the president.

More than respectful, I would expect him to react with enthusiasm. I mean, if anything, it's not the democrat status pushing his buttons here, it's the Princeton logo.

I like to think he's non-partisan. He gets behind whatever is best for the people, regardless of whether the people leading it have a D or a R next to their name.

though he did chime in on the WRONG side of that dumbass dispute over whether they should show American Sniper or not at that student event a year ago.

Artes, Scientia, (your version of) Veritas. Got it.

Harbaugh has been pretty open about being a GOP voter but seems rather balanced in the context of the insane and stupid polarized world we're in now.

Not like some dickbag NHL goalie or asshole like John Elway refusing to go to the White House because of politics.

I'd not go because I simply think the idea of inviting championship teams to the WH is silly.

Just in the way that well-known Democrat and formally substantially more partition Michael Jordan recently came to the realization that "Republicans buy shoes, too," Harbaugh know if that a lot of Michigan football fans are Democrats.

When I'm selling something, I'm selling Republicans Democrats libertarians greens Catholics Jewish protestant pagans-everybody.

You've said that before.

I guess there's probably less than a chance in 1 billion that I would ever get a presidential invitation to the White House for any reason, but if it were to happen I'm pretty sure I would go.

I would respond to a personal WH invite no matter who was in office out of respect for the office.

I think your odds are better than that.

Agreed. It used to be a way to show the POTUS is a 'man/woman of the people' but since we've elected a former owner of a MLB franchise, an open CFB/Hoops and Arkansas fan and had the POTUS completing an NCAA Bracket on TV ...that time has passed.

And wasn't it originally just a phone call from the President?

Even though you are there meeting a dickbag, you respect it and you honor it. No matter the affiliation. Harbaugh knows this and it is the right thing to do. Bo would have done the same.

Just a reminder...Do not make this thread political. Stick to the topic or go to the political board.
