Anyone think this is good or bad? I think I might like it.

Is it actually for the viewing experience, or more for advanced stats? When they brought it into the NBA, it was exclusively for front offices and the league (at least initially). And smart teams made some pretty big improvements with it.

Good point. From this ?Being on the forefront of innovation is good for our game and most especially for our fans..? Maybe for both.

I think it would be cool to see, but I'm guessing the real meaty stuff will stay behind the curtain for now. And again, the smart teams will embrace it, using this information to more effectively manage fatigue and position their players. I hope Detroit is one of those smart teams... the Pistons certainly aren't (grumble).

We shall see how it is implemented. Lots of potential for its use. The hockey analytics community it undoubtedly foaming at the mouth.

I actually don't mind the old glowing puck. Was easy to track the puck, especially if one has poor eyesight.

I loved the hoping puck. And it could work so much better in higher definition.

With today's technology you could be able to turn it on/off on the device you are watching. Especially on the center ice network, just click of a button.
