Red Wings Final Grades 2017-18

Detroit News:

Abbie seems a bit high, he appeared MIA most games.
AA is a tad low in the C range,
Witkowski at a C is ridiculous. The guy isn't even NHL level talent, its nice to have someone who can check, but his presence isn't helping the team overall.
Nyquist at a B is a bit high as well. His production has been pretty dissapointing for years now. Perhaps I am expecting too much from him.
DK seems a bit high as well
Green at a C+ seems a bit low. He's really improved his skating, was doing better defensively, and still the best puck moving D-man on the team by far.

I think the AA grade is fine. He went long stretches where I didn't even notice him. He can be electric but he needs to be more consistent.

Those were usually the stretches he was playing under 10 minutes a game.

Abbie is absent far more often than AA.

Why was he playing less than 10 minutes? It just seems as a 23 year old I didn't see improvement from the season before. He didn't take that next step.

My mistake, he only played that few minutes during 4 games this season. Don't know why I remember it going for longer.
