Link to deadspin article.

no details yet on who might've been at fault, though the article contains plenty of refreshers on why Buckeye's assistant coach Greg Schiano is an asshole for your friday reading reading pleasure.

Oh, that was no accident ....only made to look like an accident!

Was nearly our head coach. I'd say we dodged a bullet, but we got RR.

remember the line from the haters about how Schiano turned MICHIGAN down ..and how that was a sign of how "bad" the MICHIGAN job was ..if the Rutgers guy would say no.

I'm glad we dodged that bullet.

Schiano stated publicly, I guess, that he had decided he didn't want the job.

Nobody knows if he would have been offered the job or not.

No one really knows if it had been 100% decided between Les Miles and Bill Martin that Miles was not going to take the job.

I hope whoever he hit is going to be okay.

Maybe it was a Spartan visiting his Buckeye girlfriend for the weekend.

... and the girlfriend is Schiano's daughter

Stewart Mandel said that in the 11th hour, Schiano changed his mind and reached out to Michigan, but Michigan was already in talks with RR.

The speculation at the time was that Schiano turned it down, because he thought he'd have a shot at the Penn state job, and that was what he really wanted.

That's what I recall too - heir to JoePa (while Sandusky was still being protected at the time)
