I don't think it matters if he opts out or in. At $20M, he won't be one of the higher paid pitchers next year (there were 24 pitchers that made $20M or more this year). That number will increase next year. If he opts out, they still have to replace him.

another example of things being taken out of context to create a headline (clickbait). The Greene quote was after the ass hat reporter asked how he felt about breaking the record. The entire quote, Greene indicated that he wants to work on it but the quote only takes the part where he said they don't care (which was about breaking the record). The Harris quote was a generalization, not just about Greene.
