Gleyber Torres Undergoes Sports Hernia Surgery.

Detroit Tigers' Gleyber Torres undergoes hernia surgery before free agency.

He was looking for a 5 year 100 million. I don't see it happening.
For being only 28 I don't see a problem with that contract. 20m a year is about fair for him. 5 years maybe not. Not sure the surgery effects that.. He'll be healthy enough well before ST.

the problem with signing Torres is almost every top prospect that the Tigers have is a 2B. It would probably be smarter to sign someone that plays somewhere other than 2B

Other opt-outs so far: Cody Bellinger with the Yankees, Edwin Díaz with the Mets and Robert Suarez with the Padres. Like Alex Bregman's opt-out, all of them were expected. A few more big option decisions left to be made coming up.

Whether we want him or not and an FU to him and borass for last year, it will be talked about endlessly until he signs with someone.

I should have clarified. I was talking in general terms and not meaning it would work for the Tigers. Def. not.

all pretty good points, with the exception of Pujols. Letting him go was a smart move by the cardinals.
