Tigers 2025-2026 Offseason: Trades, Free Agents, Call ups, Rule 5, tender, non-tender, Skubal Cy Young Award

4 lineup changes Tigers must make for 2026 if they want to make World Series run.
A simple recipe.

sometimes I think the people that write these fanside articles don't have a clue. He says that they need to cut down on strikeouts, and in his next point, he says they should sign Schwarber. Greene was 2nd in MLB in strikeouts, Schwarber was 3rd, only 4 Ks behind him. Also, I don't see any way they sign Bregman....at least I hope not.

I agree with your assessment of Motor City Bengals Tigers Blog. They are not as good as Bless You Boys Tigers Blog who have Brandon Day and several other people who write good articles about the Tigers.
The Detroit media are putting pay walls on some of their stories, especially the Detroit News. The Freep did this earlier this season and then stopped, but this week they have gone back to using it. Mlive isn't as good imo. ESPN has people who make up grandiose trade and free agent ideas and are out of touch with most teams, except for the glamour teams.
If you or anyone else who reads this can come up with some suggestions for me to add to my searching for Tigers news I would appreciate them. Thanks.

TALKIN’ TARIK – TAKE 2.
Totally Tigers

Was there really any doubt that Flaherty wasn't going to exercise his option? There is zero chance hed get more in free agency after his subpar season. Scott Bentley on locked on tigers kept making it sound like hed opt out. I heard others say it as well. I think hes better than his numbers this year, but nobody was giving 20+ for multiple seasons on hope.

Dylan Cease 2025:168 IP, 4.55 ERA / 3.56 xFIP, 29.8 K%, 9.8 BB%, .235 BAA, 31.0 Chase%, 33.4 Whiff%

Jack Flaherty 2025:161 IP, 4.64 ERA / 3.69 xFIP, 27.6 K%, 8.7 BB%, .238 BAA, 29.1 Chase%, 27.3 Whiff%

I wish his defense was good enough to play SS. I will be happy if he was the every day 2B for the next 6+ years.
I know what you're saying, but let's hope that Bryce Rainer comes back stronger and healthier than ever. I think he is that shortstop of the future for the next 10 years once he makes it to the team. I have mixed feelings about Bregman and mostly hope they don't go for him unless they only offer a 3 year contract at the most, with a similar salary of what he had with the red sox. Or, if McGonigle does come up and plays second base, his average defense should improve, and maybe with matchups, he and Keith can switch between 2nd and 3rd.
