Tigers 2025-2026 Offseason: Trades, Free Agents, Call ups, Rule 5, tender, non-tender, Awards.
Any wish lists for who we want to say goodbye or good riddance. Who we want to trade and trade for.
Which FA's do we want to sign.

The Detroit Tigers had a 2.91 ERA this postseason.
The Detroit Tigers also had a .607 OPS this postseason.
Compared to the teams still in it, Detroit's lineup feels short by 2 big bats.
Detroit needs to add Pitching this winter, but Offense should be the priority.

Kyle Finnegan: "I loved every second of my time here. Hopefully the feeling is mutual. We’ll head into free agency and see what that has in store for me, but I can't say enough good things about the Tigers."

Jack Flaherty hasn’t decided on his $20 million player option for 2026, but he offered the following:
“I love these guys, man. I came back here for a reason, to be with these guys, play with them, and be part of this team. I didn’t want to leave it last year [before the trade to LA] . . . We’ve got a chance to do something special. We’ve got Skub. You see what Javy did with a resurgent year and what he did in the playoffs. You go around the diamond. Riley Greene’s special. Tork is all the way back. I’m really happy for that guy, after what he went through last year . . . We’ve got some arms. It’s incredible what Troy Melton showed in this series. Casey was an All-Star this year . . . It’s an incredible group. You take that all in.”

Tigers maintain faith in Hinch, confirm manager's contract extension.

AJ Hinch signed to a long term extension earlier this year.
Scott Harris and AJ Hinch had some news at their end of season press conference.

MLBTR

Tigers extend A.J. Hinch’s contract: ‘We want him here as long as he’s willing’.

I keep seeing these Flaherty stories about him mulling his options. In what world does he think he'll get more than 20 mil to pitch? If Harris somehow gets him to opt out of that, then I'll be back on board with Scott Harris lol

Somehow I believe the org. is going to mess up the whole Skubal thing. Go the route of Max Scherzer and get nothing or the route of JV and trade him 10c on the dollar.

I cant ever remember a pitcher winning 2 straight cy youngs and getting traded. Ive seen some crazy big packages get traded for a starter and none of them were the current best pitcher in baseball. If they trade him it has to be for a record return.

At least the skubal rumor mill this off-season should be fun to follow.
