Totally Tigers
The most recent list of MLB’s top 100 players just came out. Three Detroit Tigers made the list:
#4 – Tarik Skubal
#49 – Riley Greene
#65 – Framber Valdez
Two pitchers, 1 positional player.
In contrast, here’s how many the other teams collected:
8 – Dodgers
6 – Yankees
5 – Mariners, Phillies, Red Sox
4 – Astros, Athletics, Blue Jays, Braves, Brewers, Cubs, Giants, Mets, Padres, Rangers, Royals
3 – Diamondbacks, Reds, Tigers
2 – Angels, Guardians, Orioles, Rays, Twins
1 – Cardinals, Marlins, Nationals, Pirates, Rockies, White Sox
More than half of all MLB teams have 4 or more players in the top 100.
In order for the Tigers to get deeper into the playoffs, do they need to have more players in the top 100?
Or could other factors be as or even more important for them to have greater success in October?
Today’s blog addresses this question and allows readers to share their thoughts in more detail. And hopefully, to actively engage with others by responding to their posts and creating back-and-forth discussion threads. The more the merrier!
