The Tigers purchased the contract of left-hander Enmanuel De Jesus, adding him to the 40-man roster (and keeping a team in Asia from signing him).
To make room, Troy Melton (elbow) has been placed on the 60-day injured list, which means he won't be available until late May. De Jesus has three minor-league options remaining. He will compete for a spot in the Opening Day bullpen, but he can be sent down to Triple-A Toledo.

Tigers prospect Thayron Liranzo has been diagnosed with a right oblique strain.
He isn't on the medical update because he has already been optioned to the minor leagues. Liranzo will miss the beginning of the 2026 season with Double-A Erie.
