Tigers 2025-2026 Offseason: Trades, Free Agents, Call ups, Rule 5, tender, non-tender, Skubal Cy Young Award

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY.
Totally Tigers

The Detroit Tigers’ 2026 season starts tomorrow (Thursday) with the first broadcast.
The Tigers, like the majority of teams, have moved away from regional sports networks and have aligned with MLB to help provide tv broadcasts. While some new contracts with cable and streaming platforms has been created, they are still working on finalizing contracts with all providers.
No matter how you watch the game, will you be tuned into Opening Day on tv?

Will you be watching Opening Day on tv?

1. Wouldn't miss it.

2. Will try to make it.

3. Still don't have an official provider.

4. No, a subscription is just too expensive.

As the 2026 season is about to start, it’s a good time to make some predictions about what may happen this year.
Unlike others, I’m not using a crystal ball. What I am using is the patterns I’ve been seeing since last year combined with events from the off-season and spring training.
If you look hard enough, we’ve been presented with hints over the past months. And that’s what I’m basing my predictions on.
Here are my top 10 for the 2026 season.

I sure hope that #2 is true...but that is a tall order. Greene was the Tigers best hitter last year and Tork #2.
