Tigers vs. rangers Game Thread May 19

Dickerson and Price mentioning it's a forgone conclusion Tigers will make a roster move for a fresh arm before Cleveland series, wonder who it will be?

It probably doesn't really matter, I'll guess Luke p returns

might as well be Rondon,

Yeah, Bevis still having issues with BB's though he's still K'ing guys at a good clip, I'd rather not see him yet.

Marte has been unimpressive.

My guess would be Rondon or Putkonnen again, neither idea is comforting.

Of Cabrera's now 12 games of 5-plus RBI, only twice has he done that without homering. Four times with two, one with three.

Following tonight's game, the Tigers optioned RHP Evan Reed to Triple AAA Toledo.

Well that series really sucked hard.

Still ~3/4 of the season to go, plenty of time to fix the BP and perhaps tweak the roster prior to the trade deadline, IF the Tigers brass deems it necessary, that is. But with the recently added WC slot there might well be more teams that will be buyers than sellers. Like 'em or not, Leyland & Co. ain't going anywhere unless maybe if the team was to go into a very deep swoon, ala the angals and falls far out of contention, but being in AL Central, that is probably very unlikely.

Miguel Cabrera is the 23rd player in history to go 4-4, with at least 3 HR, 5 RBI, but the first player of that group to lose the game.

Cabrera through 42 games:
2012: .304, 8 hrs & 34 RBIs.
2013: .387, 11 HR & 47 RBIs.

Also...Phil Cuzzi can choke on a dick. First he allows a 5- minute conference call on the mound then a few bullshit strike-3 calls.

So our best 3 starters get smashed but Porcello is solid? That seems odd.
