Since 2006, Sanchez has thrown 5 complete games allowing 1 or fewer hits, most in MLB during that time. the fourth one-hitter of his career. He had two in 2011, one in 2010.

Even if you care about the nonsense of not mentioning a no-hitter, it applies only to uniformed persons in the dugout.
Says you... Nobody should speak of a no no.. Ever!

Was that stat 5 complete game 1 hitters for Sanchez? Damn, now I'm really bummed for him.
Technically I believe it was espn that first mentioned it, those bastards!
It doesn't apply to anyone, because jinxes are as real as Santa Clause and Pam Andersons tits.
Mario mentioned it as well right before the ninth.
But it is nonsense to believe in any of that. How many times do you think the fans at the park said the words no hitter...trust me it was a lot.
Hell I was thinking by the 4th but didn't dare say anything knowing how wiggy some people get over it. Lol maybe next time someone gets close everyone should just start screaming no hitter no hitter every 5 seconds and see if that makes any difference. LOL

I did think it was weird that Mario mentioned it because he purposely avoided saying it all night. He just kept saying how many walks Sanchez and given up and then he'd say "and that's it." Then right before the ninth he read his stat line and said "no hits."
What does "the third time Joe Mauer has broken up a no hitter" mean?
Does it mean he's broken up a no-hitter in the 9th for the third time?
Certainly, Mauer must have gotten the first hit in a game more than three times...which is technically "breaking up a no hitter..."
