this doesn't make a lot of sense. They didn't want an older pitcher, yet they traded for one that is actually older than JV. He isn't the same person that he was when he was winning Cy Youngs and throwing "temper tantrums". I think he is more like Tiger Woods. Tiger was a huge asshole when he was on top of his game. Now that father time has set in, he has been humbled and is more likeable. I think this is the same with JV. He would have fit in with the Tigers clubhouse just as well as 41 year old Morton.
