I thought it was stupid to get rid of Caldwell.

I think he was the first Lions coach in quite some time to have two seasons in a row with more wins than losses.

Agree 100%. Good Football coaches put players in the best position to win. That means if you need to keep the foot on the gas until the final whistle....so be it.

Our coaches put the players in a position they have to be perfect to win. Stupid roll out pass which immediately eliminates half the field. Prater has to make a 55 yarder. Defense has to get stops WHILE playing soft. We get the ball back and call two immensely predictable runs to AP and Stafford has to convert a 3rd and long.

All that said and we STILL should have caught an easy ball to get the W. But because Swift dropped it Stafford will get the blame from some people.

I have said all throughout the thread that Bevell was a complete idiot today. But Matt played awful in the 4th. You just can’t give him a complete pass. Also if MP makes that field goal the whole feel for the game Changes. You can’t take that sack off a terrible play call.

Matt missed a wide open Cephus I think on the play right before the sack. It was a terrible throw. No one is saying he isn’t the reason we had the lead. But come on B. He was not good in the 4th. The Int was forced. The sack could been avoided.

And yes Patrica’s defense has failed over and over and over and over. Plus our Gm deserves a mention drafting a running back so freaking high. Yeah he may be great down the road but this team needs defense so bad.

Defense was awful all game. They only gave up 6 pts thru 3 qtrs cause trubisky was so bad. No pass rush and can't cover.

Stafford was the reason we should have won... but he's also the reason we lost. That 4th qtr sack and thrown int were terrible 4th qtr decisions.

Coaching was so bad. Up 23-6... just run the ball and you win. A bunch of incompletions and a sack later...poof you lose.

I have not posted here in about six months, and this is how much I felt I needed to.

I can't stand this franchise. I can't fucking stand them.

For the FIRST FUCKING TIME in like maybe FIVE years, I finally, FINALLY got excited. I cheered the touchdowns, I cheered the stops, I was here. I was back. I was ready to get invested in this team.

When Swift hand the ball in his hands, I cheered at the top of my lungs and put my head down because I ASSUMED he caught the pass, like I would with ANY other player in the national football league on any other team would.

And then a family member said "dude, he dropped the pass."

And I remembered exactly why I hate the Detroit Lions.

The final drive was embarrassing.

Have 1:54, two time outs, to go 75 yards.

We made it 25 yards using two time outs and nearly 1 1/2 minutes.

We had no urgency until the final 30 seconds and 50 yards to go.

And I never have given that dipshit head coach a pass or his OC today who called a really subpar game matt doesn't have to be perfect. But come on even you know his 4th was below what he normally does. He got us the lead almost won it on a last second throw but also with the help of Patrica shitty defense helped give this game away.
That tight window int was a dumb pass. I'm still glad he is our qb but sadly it seems he will never have the coaching to help him.
