3 teams finishing in the cellar, 2 possibly finishing as the worst in their sport. Mediocre Pistons excepted, but they had yet to become an NBA franchise back in '35. Although the Lions likely won't be the worst team in the NFL this season, since the AFC Cinci Bungholes are 0-11, an argument can be made that they are the worst in the NFC, and could wind up with a top 5 draft pick, having tied the 3-7-1 Cards and lost to the (at the time) 1-9 Skins.

47-114 Tigers sad-sack storyline first to finish, and have as much chance of finishing next season 7 games better, as they do 7 games worse, and set a new all-time record for losses in a season in MLB.

Dead Things...err Red Wings currently have the worst record in the NHL, and are all but certain of missing the playoffs for a fourth consecutive year. This after a 25 year streak of making the playoffs.
