Good god, everyone ran an I-formation in the 70's. And wishbone as well. Full house backfields and split-back formation. Charles White ran Michigan ragged in the 1977 RB. This is hardly revelatory. The Lions were doing it only a few years ago. Remember the H-Back? Way before the "Harbaughs" "revolutionized" the NFL, but also fairly recent.
