the balls in play number isn't sustainable..the average is..need to also increase a pedestrian .153 ISO

I think its time we tip our hat to the GOAT Miguel Cabrera..he's exceeded all of our expectations for how well he's hit in 2023..we only have about 65 days left of this greatness..
since 5/30:
326/406/435
137 wRC+
12.1% BB%
.273 RISP
.286 RISP 2 out
BRAVO Miggy!

Just a reminder that Miggy did this to Spencer Strider at 40 years old.

Tigers Trade Rumors: Tigers interested in Diamondbacks outfielder Alek Thomas, per report.
One of the more interesting rumors about the Tigers? deadline plans connects them to a young and exciting outfielder with some flaws.

Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound tonight against the Angels:
83.2 IP | 2.69 ERA | 3.14 FIP | 0.968 WHIP | 9.5 K/9 | 2.4 bWAR
The trade deadline is in one week. Tip of the cap to E-Rod if this is his final start for the Tigers.

'Days of Roar' Tigers Podcast: Tarik Skubal's sky-high potential; Detroit Tigers trade deadline possibilities. 59 nminutes.
On this episode: This week, Mark and Evan break down Tarik Skubal's fiery pitching performances. Could the Detroit Tigers lefty be a future Cy Young Award contender? Later, with the Aug. 1 trade deadline fast approaching, the guys evaluate who needs to be moved and what the team needs in return. We also take the time to send kudos to Jenna Malinowski for stepping up and filling-in for Evan's writing duties during his recent vacation.

Scott Harris? mission is bat acquistion.
As the Twins pull away with the AL Central, the Tigers thin hopes of a run have faded into a full seller posture at the trade deadline.

Tigers are the worst at getting runners home from 3rd with less then 1out or 1 out.
Please Harris find some hitters ! Its embarrassing to strikeout out.

Not sure what Short was looking for. Off speed right in the middle of the plate..

Baez gets a hit after another day off.

So baez should be benched every other game. AJ get on it.

So two strikes in the same spot called on Ohtani, next one again exact same spot called a ball next pitch more on the outside called strike. Go figure.

It?s frustrating. Seems like the Tigers get jobbed more the they get helped by bad calls.

Matti only mabe it to 15.
I remember when s-he passed. So lightly stroke Mollie while saying bloop and a blast 3 times..
