Flint Powers wins first D3 championship after several runner-up finishes. 3-2 over East Grand Rapids. Scored winning breakaway goal with 4.6 seconds left.

Brother Rice beats Byron Center, 4-2, and D2 championship, overcoming 2-0 deficit (it's always a next-goal game at that score). Four goals in third period.

Catholic Central wins fourth straight D1 title, first team to not surrender a goal in the playoffs. Brighton the runner-up. Score, 3-0. CC outscored playoff opponents 30-0.

Frustrating BC just can?t get over the hump in title games. They have been close the last 2 or 3 seasons.. that is the school my kids graduated from.

BR is a "despised" rival from my days of playing them in HS baseball. Add on that my sons graduated from UD Jesuit.
