You've probably heard about some of this for years and maybe gone numb to it, but China has hit the gas since 2017. I don't know the truth about Islamist terrorists in this region, but forced sterilizations and abortions is not a counter-terrorist strategy. The story highlights people with several children, but the swing in the birthrate relative to birthrates for the rest of China indicates they are doing more than just enforcing national policy.

The campaign over the past four years in the far west region of Xinjiang is leading to what some experts are calling a form of ?demographic genocide.? The state regularly subjects minority women to pregnancy checks, and forces intrauterine devices, sterilization and even abortion on hundreds of thousands, the interviews and data show. Even while the use of IUDs and sterilization has fallen nationwide, it is rising sharply in Xinjiang.

Watched some of a documentary on the oppression of an Islamic minority in Myanmar last night - it was so difficult to watch, less than half way through my wife said she couldn't take it any more and shut it off. It doesn't make nobel peace prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi look like much of a humanitarian at all - she is basically running cover for the military on these horrible crimes against humanity.

President XI considers them "terrorists" and "separatists" so that must be the reason why they were allowed to enter China in the 1950s and grow to a population of 10,000,000.

The "political training centers?" They don't exist.

And the Chinese Foreign Ministry is accusing the NYT(!) of "using dubious tactics of changing context" in releasing "so-called [incriminating] internal documents" … "China will spare no effort in protecting the safety of its people's lives."

except when they accidentally release a highly contagious virus they were developing in a lab. Then they'll just cover it up and try to blame it on the CIA.

It was a Frontline episode from 2018 called Myanmar’s Killing Fields - available on Amazon prime.

The time to suppress the CCP is rapidly approaching, lest it oppress US. Do we have the fortitude to initiate this necessity?

if anyone needs a reason to vote against Biden, this is at the top of a long list.

I hope we get to find out.

I don't - he lies as much or more than Trump, he's corrupt as the day is long, while Trump hires his kids as advisors, Biden sells out American interests to get $1b deals for his kid with China and a multi-six figure job for a corrupt Ukranian company, if ever there was a blackmail risk - it's him. Plus he's a senile old man with who has very possibly committed the one of the worst political crimes in the history of our country. I'll take a serial philanderer and twitter addict over that any day.

I think so. Trump will still have influence.

Oh thank God. That's putting America first.

you guys are funny - Joe Biden flew his drug addict kid to China on a US Government plane and introduced him all over. A couple of months later, that drug addict with no experience managing money beat out some of the top banks and advisors in the world for a $1b deal with the Bank of China and you're concerned because Trump's family has cheap shit manufactured in China.

Biden - Trump; it does not really matter. George Carlin knew his days were numbered, so he pulled no punches, and we still are asleep.

Do you plan to vote? How did you pick a candidate if it doesn't matter?

Wow. What crazy nepotism. Did he put him in charge of brokering Middle East peace or managing our response to a pandemic too?
