DC is getting ripped online for the horrific press conference.

One more astute reporter was commenting about how an introductory press conference has been an indicator of future success, using Gase's Jets PC as a prime example.

If one cannot prepare for their PC, how well will they prepare for games? It is a legit question, IMO.

Will he learn from it remains to be seen. We can hope. Problem is, he might have already lost many on the team. Seriously. If you are a Lion and you watch that, and this is your first impression of the new coach...what are your thoughts? How many have reservations and contacted their agents to begin exploring how to get traded?

Remember, he was considered a leader in the locker room during the 2008 season.

This just does not bode well and comes across as yet another SOL mistake.

All the beat writers thought it was a great press conference.

Nationally they just took some quotes out of context

DC has passion and a plan. He is a known leader for players

We'll see how it translates with an influx of talent too

Careful...you might lose a kneecap. Yes, DC was somewhat visceral in that initial presser. Very un-Ford-like, where every breath is measured.

I only saw the "statement" and not the press-conference. But the media ripping a coach for a bad press conference when it itself has zero credibility in my opinion is like the match setting itself on fire and claiming it got burnt.

You do realize that DC himself is saying he had a bad press conference, right?

LKP, thanks for the humor you give to the forum.

DC himself admitted it was a bad presser.

It's not a bad press conference. He got his passion across. And who cares its a press conference. He said many good things. Some off topic ramblings but nothing bad. He didnt' guarantee wins or do much coach speak. He noted he will work with Holmes and work his butt off to get the right coaching staff. And analyze all the players.

We'll see what they do in FA, draft, OTAs, camp and beyond. Good leader for sure. Now let's see how he coaches
