Also planned to put this in yesterdays game thread.
August 17, 1980: Number 6 will always belong to Mr. Tiger.

Detroit Tiger fans need to start trusting the new Front Office. For all of those who chastised Scott Harris for not trading Chasen Shreve (exp. contract), there's a reason why no one would bite. Shreve was DFA'd and no team claimed him. He just signed a minor league contract.

Everyone's thrilled to see Detroit Tiger Spencer Torkelson break through. But when he was struggling at the plate, the hitting coaches got roundly criticized. And now that he's slugging, why aren't Michael Brdar, Keith Beauregard and James Rowson getting any love?

Totally Tigers

Carpenter drives Spencer in with a single !

13 game hitting streak.

Miggy somehow has gotten a wheaties patch or something. Keeps getting it done.

Dang 1-2 pitch torched and Vierling stabs it out of the air.

Skubal isn't very sharp yet.
Single rbi 3-1 now.

I really wouldnt be opposed with baez sitting indefinitely.

Its been nice not having him in there the last few games.

This umpire is already crap with his balls ans strikes in my opinion.

Spencer picks another ball out of the dirt. This time from vierling at 3rd.
