I think Bob Gibson had a toe/foot injury came back. Modern medical is much better these days.

It was an idle observation.

Gibson had his leg broken by a Clemente line drive. He finished the inning. Dean adjusted his delivery after pushing his recovery and damaged his arm.

I expect that Manning won't even pick up a baseball and throw it for at least three months.
