dodgers to sign greinke

It's a classic "you can't have him signing." Dodgers still have a crap offense.

Crap offense?

Kemp
Crawford
Ethier
A. Gonzales
H. Ramirez
A.J. Ellis

Their offense is far from crap.

Lot of question marks on the offense, but could be a strong offense if things go right.

Did Tigers fans say the same thing about signing Prince Fielder to a nine-year deal when Victor Martinez was gone for just one year? Of course not. Because you can never have too much offense, just like you can never have too much pitching.

It performed like crap in 2012. It's why they didn't win the west. Gonzalez hardly played. Ramirez underproduced. Kemp was injured. Not sure who Crawford is ... unless you mean the Giants' shortstop Brandon. I'll give you Ellis, Ethier and the player you didn't mention, Luis Cruz. But the Dodgers were at the bottom third or quarter of all offensive stats on the season and the rest of the lineup was anemic.

No shit? He hardly played for the Dodgers during the 2012 season because he wasn't a Dodger until he replaced the anemic James Loney at the end of August?

Yes, the lineup was anemic...because for the majority of the season, they had Loney at first base, Juan Rivera and Bobby Abreu platooning in left field, Dee Gordon at short (before they got Hanley)...and because Kemp was injured and Crawford hadn't played a game since his trade while he was rehabbing from Tommy John surgery

Kind of unfair to judge the current lineup as "crap" when last year's most anemic starters are either gone by now or not projected to start next year, and the best hitter was hurt.

Adrian Gonzales and Matt Kemp are 2 of the top 15 players in all of MLB. "Gonzalez hardly played"....well he played the 30 games that were left after he was traded, for a season total of 159 out of 162. Not sure how that factors into 2013 though. Kemp missed about 55 games, I'll give you that, but still had a .900+ OPS.

Crawford? he's this guy. And while injuries plagued him last couple of season, he's a serious player if he's even 90% this year.

Sorry, but the words "crap offense" are so off base here it's laughable.

I mean, after all the 2012 Tigers offense was not crap, and they were pretty bad outside of Ajax, Miggy, and Prince.

Okay: We'll see what happens in 2013. And let the record reflect that I have been disabused of the claim that the 2013 Dodger offense is "crap."

And welcome to the board.
