FBI closes Solar Observatory & Two Post offices

Let the cover up began!!! The eclipse !!!! nasa had some cameras deactivated also!!!The invasion has started and they are covering it up. Maybe a killer asteroid !!!!Anyway i am just having some fun with it. i hope it is not to serious but the FBI is not telling the local sheriff's anything. Post any updates you can find !!!

But, the facility has been closed since the 6th. I think a coronal mass ejection would have reached Earth by now if it was going to.

Of the speculation I've seen, the explanation that seems to best explain the evacuation of the area and the secrecy is the idea that something fired from White Sands landed somewhere near there. Maybe there's undetonated explosive they need to deal with.

OK, but they're in the future. So the sun will be back at some point, but it's weird that it's gone right now. That's reassuring, but how does it just disappear, and reappear?

I read that too. Like they found a STUXNET style attack. That wouldn't explain why they evacuated the area around the place though. Plus, you'd be grilling the employees, not evacuating them.

The Sunspot Solar Observatory continues to work closely with AURA in order to allow for us to reopen as soon as possible. The town of Sunspot itself is very small, and all 12-15 residents were evacuated, as well as four employees at the observatory, five or six employees of AURA and employees of the post office (number unknown).
