Game 6: Lions @ Dolphins Thread

Looks like this team is actually coming together to play good football. Really happy with the complete game today

For the most part imo the lions looked like a pretty damn good football team today, I should be very happy and all smiles but I’m not cuz this game was a hellva lot closer than it should have been thanks to all those ticky tacky flags that both took points away from us and gave points to Miami all to keep games close with flags nfl policy imo and it pisses me off how rigged this shit truly is! Some of those flags today were just utter Blatant garbage

Lions beat Miami and the rigged flag game today! Fu roger goodell!

Good win. Finally gave kerryon the ball. Stafford played efficient and didn't miss the open td throws. Refs took some points off the board with a garbage hands to the face call. Defense continue to have timely sacks. Not being able to cause turnovers is a little scare.

Brady just threw a pick :/

We played really safe defensively today. Even more so than usual. Osweiler had too much time. He made some damn good throws too, but IMO, you force a guy like Osweiler to make quick reads by bringing pressure......ESPECIALLY after Wilson went down.

Good overall win though. Slay is Slay. Davis has been getting a lot better, quickly. Tabor was solid today. Our S trio is pretty good, but Quin is slow as molasses.

Good win.

Outside of settling for a few field goals in the redzone and not forcing any turnovers a pretty solid game.

Kerryon was the star of the game, may not have elite speed, but seems to do everything above average.

And I thought Stafford was GREAT today. Not just efficient. He was on the money all damn day. We just ran the ball so well he didn’t have to make many drive saving, game saving throws.

He missed ONE throw all day. That deep throw at the end. Otherwise, every single throw was on the money. One drop by Tate. Two batted at the line.

5th straight game with a 100+ QB rating.

Quick observations: Kerryon Johnson and the Lions run all over Dolphins in win.
Mlive

Stafford had a 138.1 passer rating for the day, and completed 10 of 11 passes in the first half. His lone incompletion of the half came on a third-and-2 pass intended for Golden Tate that Kiko Alonso knocked down at the line of scrimmage.

Johnson ran for 106 yards on seven carries in the first half. He became just the fourth Lions running back since Sanders’ retirement to have a gain of 70 or more yards, joining Jahvid Best, Kevin Jones and Shawn Bryson.

Roberts, playing his first game since Week 2 because of a knee injury, now has touchdowns on three of his four catches this season. He scored Sunday on plays of 15 and 4 yards.

#Lions 248 rushing yards today were most since 1994. All-time franchise record is 330 on 9-7-1980. It was Billy Sims first game - 153 rushing yards, 3 TDs. Also, Dexter Bussey ran for 111 yards. They beat Rams 41-20.

The Lions averaged 7.1 yards per rush on 35 carries today. The last time they averaged at least 7.0 yards per carry on 35+ attempts was on Nov. 24, 1991. Prior to 1991, the Lions last accomplished the feat in the 1980 season #OnePride

Lions QB Matthew Stafford finished today's game with a passer rating of 100.0-or-higher for the 5th consecutive game. This mark is the longest streak in Lions history and the longest active streak in the NFL.

This win felt complete. Not perfect, but complete. I never found myself watching and getting overly frustrated. That's the second time this season (Patriots) I've felt that way.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, how the fuck did the Jets beat us by 100? Just kidding. This team is maybe closer than I realized to being competitive with the top teams. Looking forward to the divisional games.

Sort of boring around here after a nice win like that. Everyone pretty much agrees on everything, so not much for discussion. I guess that's nice.

What about the hard preseason practice now that Patrica had? It appeared the heat was a issue but the Lions were physically able to power through the heat. A offense that can give its defense time to rest is such a luxury. I just can’t believe we lost to the Jets and 49ers. Should be 5-1. Matt also beat a team with a winning record yesterday. Hope there are plenty more of those.
