Gronkowski announces Retirement Now traded to Bucs

Best deal never made. Gronk for a 1st rounder last year.

Brilliant ALMOST move, Quinn.

Gronk saved the Lions by threatening retirement.

Can you imagine trading a 1st rounder for an offer injured over the hill (in football years) TE who wasn?t very productive for a QB that makes his TE SUPER productive and then having him retire after 1 year???. It might have been the single worst trade in team history.

Thanks Gronk!!!

The Patriots are trading Rob Gronkowski and a 7th round pick to the Buccaneers for a 4th round pick, per Adam Schefter.

Brady sure has some weapons. 2 top 15 WRs and Gronk??

I hope it all backfires and they suck.

Bucs have some talent and Todd Bowles as DC
Need Right Tackle. Interior Oline is ok. Could use a 2nd RB

Defense is interesting with Vea, Suh, JPP and Shaq Barrett. Lavonte David and Devin White at ILB. Could use one more DE

Secondary is all young 2nd and 3rd round picks from 2017-2019. If they develop watch out.

We'll see if Brady can stave off age for another year. Evans, Godwin, Gronk, Brate, Howard. They could use a slot WR

Fuck! How shitty is the Patriots franchise that Gronkowski retired before 30 rather than play for Belichick and that organization! And then unretires a year later to play for Bruce Fuckin Arians and the Bucs???

Same Ole Patriots

The Lions once had a trade in place for Rob Gronkowski. Here?s what it looked like.

Holy crap..that trade would have been terrible.

No Ragnow for 2 maybe 3 years of Gronk..or maybe just one if he retired. Thank you Gronk for threatening to retire. And no Hock either I guess but probably a big tight end hole in 2020 for the lions. Probably would have Ed Oliver though

Can someone explain why people are clowning on the Patriots for this trade? You got a 4th round pick and gave up the equivalent of a zombie who wasn’t going to be on your team anyways. The guy could barely run his last couple of years in the league. I think people see the name Gronk and think he’s still some elite TE when he’s not and hasn’t been even his last couple years in NE.

I think both teams did well. Gronk knows Brady, is probably still a great blocking TE and a monster in the Red Zone due to his size. And like you said, NE basically traded a 7th rounder for a 4th.

Gronk isn't what he used to be, but he is probably still better than OJ Howard.

I still hope TB sucks though!

Probably true. I can?t believe how bad OJ Howard has been in the pros. Wonder how much is on Winston for not utilizing him versus Howard just not putting it together.
