KEYS

Establish Hunter Dickinson: Nebraska has the worst 2-point defense in the Big Ten. Hunter Dickinson scored 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting in 23 minutes (he only played five in the first half due to auto-bench) against the Huskers last year. The gameplan is simple: Don?t commit two fouls in the first half this time, but still score the points. Dickinson dominated Walker last time out, and if he?s able to do that for his normal allotment of minutes, then Michigan has a significant advantage inside.

Contain Keisei Tominaga: Nebraska is shorthanded with limited offensive weapons, so don?t let the one guy who can make a ton of threes get up a dozen 3-point attempts. It sounds simplistic, but without a big night for Tominaga, it is going to be hard for Nebraska to score consistently on the road. Don?t let him get going because he can go NBA Jam on fire.

Make jumpers: Nebraska will dare you to beat it with shooting. The Huskers are ranked 341st in defensive 3-point rate, 353rd in defensive assist rate and love to sprinkle in zone defense. This is a team that is going to sell out to stop drives to the rim and comfortable post-ups, even if it means leaving perimeter shooters open. That means that Jett Howard, Joey Baker and even Kobe Bufkin, Terrance Williams and Dug McDaniel need to be ready to take and make open threes.

BOTTOM LINE

This spot is about how Michigan comes out and executes. Nebraska is 1-6 on the road in Big Ten play and the win was over Minnesota in overtime while the losses were by an average of 16.3 points. If Michigan plays well, it should be able to handle this Husker team on its home floor. If it plays poorly, it needs to figure out how to win anyway. If it loses, then maybe this season wasn?t going anywhere in the end.

KenPom pegs the Wolverines as 8-point favorites and gives them a 76% chance at winning their third game in a row. Sportsbooks are more bullish on Michigan?s chances, setting the number at 11.5 points.

Go Blue!

Indiana could destroy us. Just don't see much commitment to defense.

First 3 game winning streak since the first 3 games of the season! Lou Brown would be proud!

Gotta enjoy what we can this season.

There keeping hope alive for dancing

They have a shot . 18-21 wins may get them in depending on the wins.
With at least 2 of them in btt. What do you think ?

Just wish Reed Jr was better.

Nice that they are winning, but let's face it they're just beating teams they're supposed to beat. From what I'm reading if they can get to 19 wins they have a decent chance. They have 14 wins now, with 7 games left to play prior to the BTT. 4 of those 7 are on the road. Just don't see us going 5-2 down the stretch here.

Unfortunately they blew too many games earlier this year. They really don't have a great win, and have one horrible loss vs Central. They needed to grab a game vs Virginia or Purdue, and they also blew the game @Iowa.

Might be better off to just miss the dance rather than get in as a play-in and get annihilated. This year appears to be nothing more than a lost year right now.

Win the next 2 and my eyebrow may raise.

I mentioned on the MSU board that the Spartans would go 5-2 and make the NCAA. Not as confident about Michigan going 5-2 against this slate.
