Picking up Davis' contract at this point would just be Quinn trying to avoid looking bad. Davis has been one of the worst linebackers in the league even when healthy. Collins is better now and Okwara likely better in the future. We'd be better off drafting a mid round lb next year and just forgetting about the draft miss.

Contract year for Davis. Going to play hard..blitz him more

He's gone either way.

Same goes for 80% of the players who were drafted before him that year. Not as big of a miss as the haters want to say. Poor 1st round talent that year.

Not gone either way it seems. Just cheaper than 10 million

So what's your point? That he's nothing special? Thanks.

Davis is not all bad. He's just not worth 10 million which is the option price

Patricia hinted he is in their long term plans still, probably at a better price

Davis can blitz and play the run well most times but not all the times if he overruns gaps. He has coverage problems despite good speed
