Looks like Juwan has hires Phil Martelli the former HC at St Joe's for 35 years. I like the hire because it gives him a very experienced coach he can lean on.

Great move here.

35 years of experience
24 seasons as a head coach
7 A-10 championships
9 20+ win seasons
7-7 in NCAA tourney at St Joe's

Michigan hired Howard Eisley, too

I don't know that much about him

Eisley was on the Knicks staff.

Eisley has ties to Detroit. He played at Detroit Southwestern with Jalen Rose.

NBA circles really respect Eisley and the work he does developing guards. Makes sense to hire him to coach guards since Juwan's specialties are defense and big men.

Hopefully we can snag Wilson again !

Definitely need a 2 guard. Staff has reached out to Anthony Mathis, grad transfer from New Mexico, as well. Really good shooter. Averaged over 14 PPG and shot 41.6% from three and 88.8% FT. Made 106 threes last year, which was a New Mexico record.

Unfortunately, he's likely going to end up at Oregon. He grew up in Oregon and lived with the family of Oregon's current PG through middle and high school. (if his name was Jamal Crawford, he would have been forced to leave the NCAA)

And he chooses Oregon. No surprise at all.
