Monster has is rigged to what he wants - I am all done with the site.

One less person to read your adds - good luck finding more people to read your adds

I will make sure I don't ever buy Lysol - Febreze is much better I also don't bank at Huntington cause they suck

Who the hell cares about NFIB healthcare - deosn't everyone have at least Blue cross or Atena

Lol, I only noticed the ads for the first time just now. Ahhh, and Bob Evans actually sounds kind of good at the moment.

Why would anyone care about Karma? You really want to be liked that much? Lol. I want minus 2999. That's my goal.

I don't see any ads, might be the adblock plus on my Firefox browser.

Probably. I have an ad blocker on my tabet and once in awhile I see an ad but for the most part they get blocked.

Every proboard forum has ads dumbass. The only way you can eliminate them is by paying a pretty decent chunk of money to the proboards team. So unless you feel like paying for the whole board, dont let the door hit you on your way out!

You see these posters with like, 50, 60 karma points? You know how they get that?

They set up a second account, and just keep exalting themselves all day.

So if it will make you feel better about yourself, you could do that.

I'd start over with a new primary account, too though - negative almost a thousand is a pretty big number to overcome.

And try not being such an asshole the next time around, as well - that might help.

Good luck.

I'm not sure about that :) . This isn't a typical pro board its made up of mostly invites. Maybe there's one or two.

Does anyone really take the karma shit seriously?

I had stopped paying attention to it long ago once I realized some people just sit and do nothing but hit the smite button once an hour.

Though I have to admit, it warms my insides to know I got under their skin that easily.

;)

Monster has zero to do with the ads you're seeing on a free proboards forum.

Do some research online about LSO flash-based tracking cookies, too, and how to clear them from your browser.

I was being a little tongue in cheek.

Starting a thread whining about karma is is a pretty "funny" thing to do...

You'll be surprised. Makes me smile :)

Yeah why would adds bother anyone? I never really notice them...I find it weird that it would bother anyone..

$7 a month / 50,000 page views. Can get much more expensive. Way not worth it.

3x as many smites as the OP has (relatively low) total posts..lol..that's amazing!!

Got stalkers?

???

I've only seen 3 SNs here with 3 digit+ positive karma totals, and 2 of those are mods.

I think the karma feature is only good for say fishing, computer/OS advice, and cooking/recipe sharing forums on these proboards, but it likely cannot be eliminated here unless someone was to pay for their proboards forum, and by doing so, would probably make it their personal dictator-like fiefdom, not something I would want to join.

There ads on the internet??? The next thing you will tell me is that people use the internet for porn.

Those small ads at the top and very bottom of the Detroit Pro Boards pages? It seems like small stuff compared to all the ads that pop up, start up at so many sports and non sports sites we go to. Even post game webvideos have ads/commercials of 15 to 30 seconds before the sports vid.

I do think this has more to do with your karma total and how it changed overnight from around a couple minus to what it is now.
You can't help but see the total for anyone, as it is there next to your sn and avatars.
For the longest time every day, I gave several posters points/exalts for good and well thought posts mostly on the Tigers board, and also on other sports and non sports boards. Then overnight, when coming on line some of the best posters that bring stats/spreadsheets and other info are set back to minus/smites.
Some posters who know their stuff only want minus/smites added to their total. and I have done that a couple of times for them and their good posts.
But then there are posters that go out of their way to smite posters who have never had a bad thing to say about anyone getting those smites...and also opened an extra account to do it double time.
I don't understand any of that or why posters do that. Most all of us came over from espn. We all know who is who for the most part. Why would anyone go out of their way to minus/smite a poster...I can only speak for myself. Someone says something I disagree with, I might explain my position on a player or such, but not go after them for posting a different opinion.
The only poster I smited, twice, was scottchico way back when he was obnoxious to the whole board, and also to me in several private messages. Then I thought he isn't worth getting angry at.

and I did find out the few posters who were minus/smiting the posters that I was surprised to see getting them in recent time...

Everyone has a different opinion of how to use this 'little toy' we have, some care, some don't care. Some posters get smited for nothing imo. Some posters probably have never used it.

I will continue to give points/exalts to every poster who brings good info and thoughts to the Tigers board, and on the other boards I go to and see something I like the poster said. If they are known to instead want smites for their karma total so be it.
