Kent State picks football over field hockey

This story was on the first page on ESPN. I was kind of shocked that they even paid much attention to it. First, it's only Kent State. Second, it's only field hockey.

I don?t expect much from Kent State. at least they didn?t call the Ohio National Guard out to start randomly murdering kids this time.

When I was in the Guard (retired several years ago) they didn't allow us to shoot protesters. I think they learned their lesson. Of course, I was a member of the Air National Guard & in the medical unit....they didn't even give us guns.

Well, KSU owned up to the mistake, but I think they'd have made the same one were a men's soccer game been substituted for a women's field hockey match. Just poor planning, realized.

they should poll the fans and ask what they found more entertaining - the field hockey or the fireworks. That way, if this problem ever comes up again, they can make an informed decision.
