Lifetime Lions Ineptitude

Littered with ex-Lions???? outside of Tomlinson...what a stretch! A few guys on the practice squad, a TE that doesn't play and Zettle that doesn't play much either.

Laken Tomlinson, traded from the Lions to the 49ers before the 2017 season, is San Francisco?s starting left guard and a key part of one of the NFL?s best running games. Levine Toilolo is a role player at tight end after wearing the same hat for the Lions last season. Anthony Zettel has seen time as a rotational defensive end after joining the roster late in the season. And Teez Tabor and Alex Barrett are on the practice squad after failing to make an impact in Detroit.

Don?t forget Mayhew lol. Not a player but he was at Detroit for many years. Man did he trade up !

I?ve always loved Sherman?s bluntness that guy is great

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan?s) culture and the way he did things was very similar to how we did things in Seattle and what I was accustomed to,? Sherman said. ?That made a huge difference. Hey, I can get this $20 million guaranteed and be in Detroit and lose football games. Or I can go to a place where I?m very comfortable with the scheme, coach and culture and I?m very comfortable with the things they do and I really believe we can win.?

Why the 1970 season still haunts the Detroit Lions 50 years later.
SLR

Hated the cowboys ever since this game.

Me too. That year and game started my Lions fandom, and Cowboy hate. Damn Vikings started the damn 17-3 decade *$&#+$+#+#=. Hate them the most.

I had watched a little on the previous years but that year 1970 I watch all the games I could. I remember the comeback on thanksgiving against the Raiders. Down 14-0 after the first quarter the Lions tied game at halftime at 14. Two fourth quarter td?s sealed the 28-14 win. Sadly I was in a body cast for the cowboys playoff game. Broke my femur bad early in fall. 7 weeks traction. 7 weeks in body cast. 3-4 weeks rehab to walk. My how Medicine has changed !

1970 was a magically roller coaster regular season.
