Lions Claim Kourtnei Brown Off Waivers

no one will want a 22.4 mil cap hit for DT. Lions are stuck with him this year. that just proved how stupid this organization is. he only had a one good year, his rookie. hopefully he signs an extension but more than likely he walks.

his cap hit would be 12.55 for any other team

said it a few years back , they kept backloading that rookie deal to get them room year after year...well the chickens have finally came home to roost.

they can absorb the current hit, but enough is e.ough, cant have $14-15mil cap hits for a dt the next five years

Suh would fit nice between Quinn and Long...give them Suh and the #10 and we get their #44...giving us back to back 2nd round picks.

all the signs indicate he doesnt want to be here, lol, like he isnt now

He usually trains by himself for a good part of the offseason. Plus, he has said in the past that he wants to be in Detroit (take it for what it's worth). The main thing is you don't know if he doesn't want to be in Detroit or if he just wants a bigger contract. If he makes it clear that he won't accept less than $14 million a year, then you try to trade him.

If this actually happened and Clowney was available at 2 wouldn't you rather have Clowney than Watkins? Without Suh we'd go from an above average D-line to a below average D-line unless we added Clowney.

that would a no brainer..doubt they do it,
biggest thing is the money u would have for a big fa next year, albeit a hole to fill now

Houston WILL NOT pass on Clowney.

if you want to trade suh that's fine....im all for getting rid of these humungous contracts that have handcuffed our team for the next decade. but why not just stay at 10 and pick Donald then? and get additional picks to help your team. Instead mayhew packages a deal to make our defense shit and offense better.....again????!!!

not against this, just threw the trading of suh in on the topic of getting to #2, personally dont want to move up, but in fav or of trading suh

Mayhews all in for 2014 I think...another 6 - 10 season and me thinks he gone , gonna give Stafford another weapon and try to outscore everyone.

he would have to give up a ton via draft picks only to move up to 3/4

Exactly. He needs wins and he knows he has to go all in on $tafford. Whatever it takes to help our QB improve.
