The Lions' offense has utilized a no-huddle look on 62 percent of their plays during the preseason.
Detroit used no-huddle on just 7.0 percent of plays last season, finishing 30th in situation-neutral pace according to Football Outsiders. Both numbers should be significantly higher this year. "The faster you can push the tempo, when you want to, really, it just makes it more stressful on the defense," Matthew Stafford said. "If you feel like you're playing at a normal speed, and they think you're playing really fast, it feels a whole lot better for us." Stafford shined with OC Jim Bob Cooter calling the shots late last season, and the coordinator is molding his system to Stafford's strengths again this year. Currently the 16th fantasy quarterback off the board, it is possible Stafford is being undervalued.

Man, I am just not sure what flavor of kool-aide we're supposed to be drinking this season. Is it Wild Cherry? Is it Watermelon? Grape?

Or is it Black Licorice Bear Anus?

Could be good... could be bad... but certainly so different we just don't know yet

Stafford has always been solid in the no huddle. Should have been done more years ago. Thanks, Jim Bob!!

Like everything else this season...who knows how it will turn out. Being successful running no huddle majority of the game is different than running no huddle at the end of a game down 2 scores.

Offense is usually more vanilla, but so is the defense in the situation.

At least they have a plan on what they want to do. Lets just hope it works.
