The Lions' offense has utilized a no-huddle look on 62 percent of their plays during the preseason.
Detroit used no-huddle on just 7.0 percent of plays last season, finishing 30th in situation-neutral pace according to Football Outsiders. Both numbers should be significantly higher this year. "The faster you can push the tempo, when you want to, really, it just makes it more stressful on the defense," Matthew Stafford said. "If you feel like you're playing at a normal speed, and they think you're playing really fast, it feels a whole lot better for us." Stafford shined with OC Jim Bob Cooter calling the shots late last season, and the coordinator is molding his system to Stafford's strengths again this year. Currently the 16th fantasy quarterback off the board, it is possible Stafford is being undervalued.
