Looking ahead to tomorrow's season opener @ Atlanta
The Pistons finish 2-3 for the preseason. Both wins on the road, most recent being an impressive 114-91 rout of the Bulls at Chicago.
The Starting lineup looks like this I assume
PG Jackson
SG Caldwell-Pope
SF Johnson
PF Morris
C Drummond
Meeks and Ilyasova, 6th and 7th, Jennings back around Christmas.
I think that without Monroe, Stan Van Gundy should feel more comfortable coaching this team. Morris can be the big body that starts the game, Ersan should be off the bench, 5-7 minutes in to get the perimeter shooting rolling.
There are plenty of wildcards: Stanley Johnson's presence, Ilyasova staying healthy (do not need 25-30 from Tolliver off the bench every game, yuck!), Impact of Jennings' midseason return........ Beginning the year at San Antonio isn't encouraging at all when hoping for a strong start. Lets root and hope for the best, DEEEEEEEETROOOOOO........... (and so on.)
