Oh, and penalties were a HUGE player in this game. Not saying UM did not deserve their flags (other than the Ryan penalty for hitting QB, but whatever). ND was blatantly holding and committing PIs that were never flagged. Just pointing out that in crucial points, the flags were a tremendous help to ND and never helped UM. That was a major factor in UM having more total yards but a blowout in points.

the type of run game that Nuss runs is incompatible with a shitty OL. We should be running quick hitting run plays out of power formations not slow developing runs that allow the defense to get into the backfield. Against App state, it's okay. Not a real defense. Sparty is going to fucking destroy us.
