There have been a week 13 games before today but today is the day the ones that really count begin. Nobody really cares much about the egg bowl.

Nebraska sparing the college football world from having to watch a conference championship game with Iowa's offense involved.

2 great games today, NC State beating NC in OT 30-27 after NC shanks a fg to end the game. And FSU beating Florida 45-38 after blowing a 38-24 lead.

It?s Purdue and Illinois turn.

If Purdue wins they win the west.
Illinois needs to win and have Purdue lose.
Iowa at 5-4 can still make it if they both lose.

Wouldn't it be nice, just once, to have to only get to 5 conference wins to make it to the championship game? The west is so ass. Instead 11-1 Michigan is going to have to sit and watch while shitty Iowa or Purdue plays in the championship game.

The west has been worse than the top of the east, but for the most part, the winner of the west has had pretty good records.

Winner of the west's record since the start of East / West in 2014

7-0
8-0
7-2
8-1
7-2
6-1
7-2

That said, the west is 0-7 in that timeframe

is this what passes for "insight" in Ohio?

:lmao:

Ore St just went ahead of Oregon 38-34 with 8 min left after being down 31-10.

Oh yeah, reading RCMB right now while watching this game. Their gameday thread is gold.

Wow, Oregon couldn't keep together after being up 31-10. I actually had no idea that Oregon State was in the rankings.

Looking like USC is making a bid for the 4th spot in the CFP. If they win I predict the rankings to be: Georgia, Michigan, TCU, USC. OSU should not get further consideration after the blowout loss to Michigan on their home field.

Neither USC - nor even Michigan - should be seen as automatically in even if USC holds to beat the Irish.

Both have important conference championship games next weekend.
