Reaction to the loss

In theory, OSU has enough talent to compete with them.

UGA is big on both lines, consistent and (supposedly) well-coached. They seem to be what Alabama was for most of the last decade. not sure how you game plan for that. Need lots of methodical scripting to find the weakness in every look they throw at you, AND get lucky too.

Day doesn't seem to have the depth for that, and other than 2014, even Urban struggled to beat SEC teams or Clemson in the playoffs, once the talent advantage he had in the Big Ten vanished.

I think we tried to matchup with them last year and just got methodically ground into submission... and someone here noted they had like 25 Five Star recruits to our 2 or 3... a 3 score deficit against them is insurmountable, if you don't have the talent to move the ball in chunks.

Smart is a very good coach. He proved that last year when he found every teams weakness and exploited it. Harbaugh made the mistake of basically saying and actually doing, "this is what we do, try and stop us." Harbaugh and company never had a plan for what to do in that scenario. Georgia was fast on D and they exploited our linebackers with Bowers. Never had an answer for that guy. Never had an answer to start calling quicker hitting plays. Slow developing plays dont work against UGA, unless you have a QB that is good at scrambling and can make plays. Their secondary is their weak spot. OSU has the horses for the quick hitters on offense, but Stroud doesnt move well. That'll be interesting. As far as defense for OSU, they will have to use their team speed. UGA OLine hammers you, but they also lumber when pulling and do miss blocks occasionally, cuz they arent very fast when they do pull.
