As a non Native American, I don't know if I can properly state whether or not the name is offensive. As an outsider I don't find it as such, but I'm also not easily offended. I do wonder though, why there seems to be such a huge push this season. What's sounded the alarm? Is the name more offensive this year than last? Than five years ago? Than ten?

I always was under the impression, as the article states, that it was a name with honor and tradition and not meant to be derogatory. The emblem seems to show a Native American in a more proud or honorable form, much the opposite of a logo like the Cleveland Indians. Why is that logo not under intense scrutiny this year?

Anyone on the board offended by the team name? If so are you offended by the Tribe's logo too? Any Native Americans on the board?

Obama is bored so he's trying to push for a name change.

Washington hogs would fit

Or just keep the name and change the logo to a potato
