RIP Roy Tarpley

This is a case where I'm glad I tend to remember players as they were in college more than the pros....especially Michigan guys my age.

I don't know if he had a family but if he did I feel for them. It's always sad when a person dies too young but this guy...an alcoholic and drug attic who sued the league and the Mavs because they wouldn't re-instate him because he had a disability (addicted to cocaine). This guy had everything lined up for him and he snorted his life away. To me he is worse than a drug addict that dies homeless in an alley. Tarpley had a chance because of his money and fame and snorted it away.
