Roberts traded to Pats

Traded a 5th for 7th. Cool.

That's always the worst way to look at any trade bro. What you gave up to take them has no bearing at all on what you get back in a trade.

Everyone knew this guy was going to be cut. Pats could have just sat back and waited. We got a 7th. We came out good in this one.

I don't think I would say drafting a TE in the 4th (not 5th round) and that player only having 13 catches for 146 yards in 2 seasons is coming out "good"

Oh hell no.. it was a bad pick. But that's yesterday, it's in the books, it's done... and it happens to every team out there.

Getting something in return for a guy we were about to cut is coming out good.

i want to say he was hurt alot last year if i remember correctly. Ideally if he was healthy we should have used him much more last year to see if he could develop. Wilson was absolute garbage and provided nothing for us.

I couldnt say he was a bad pick cause we never used him. He showed flashes as a rookie as being long with good hands. Im sure the Pats will develop him into a perenial pro bowler like they did with our last mid round cast off we gave them.

A late round pick that will be dealt in negotiations during next years draft. Good move, collect a pick and move on.

There’s no competition at the TE position. Tjs are guy, James is #2.

Lions were set with Hockensen, James, Logan Thomas and Nauta at tight end.

Bummer we wasted a 4th in 2017 but Roberts still has potential. Rookie first year behind Ebron and Darren Fells and injury played a big factor last year. I could see him having big time success in red zone with New England.

Not sure it was a great move. It wasn't even a good move, more meh. 7th round pick is like kissing your ugly sister.

Michael Roberts trade falls through, Detroit Lions cut him anyways.
The Lions won?t receive any compensation for cutting their former fourth-round pick.

Curious as to why he failed his physical and if the Lions had any suspicions that he might.

And there's the Hail Mary and Michael Roberts comes down with the catch. You know it's going to happen.
