Rutgers vs UM junior varsity Football Game Thread

Well... a road win against anyone is nothing to scoff at when you're playing a season in The Twilight Zone

Still don't think mcnamara looked that good. He'll get destroyed by a real defense if we don't keep improving. That said, he's leaps and bounds ahead of Milton and did a good job making decisions - Milton's biggest weakness.

In what way didnt he look that good? He had .7 seconds to get the ball off most of the time and when he knew it was a def sack he threw to the check down everytime for yardage. That is how to save a play for another day. He made a really bad offensive line look like they were holding up. What I want to see, is how he holds up as the starter. Different mindset coming into game.

Some of his balls he just kind of threw up there. Really lucky not to have 2 or 3 picks. Still, he looked way better than milton. Just saying he is not at a point where, even if our guys are healthy, that our offense is going to play well against good defenses. He needs 100% of the snaps in practice.

I remember looking at Milton's HS passing numbers and being surprised how low his completion % was. Seems like Michigan-level QBs usually came out of HS looking almost perfect, and it was weird to think we'd spend a scholarship on a guy who would still be a "project" to develop.

Too bad it hasn't worked out, but it's a weird year. Not a great time to be playing college football, or doing much of anything really

It only took 5 games, but Harbaugh finally settled on a QB and a lead back...

maybe

Good thing the Rutgers QB lofted it into double coverage in the end zone on 4th and 9 instead of passing it out to the wide open guy with room to run just to his left.

If Jimmy makes the right decision and makes McNamara the starter, and they beat PSU and Maryland, then he can stay. Regardless of what happens, Brown has to go at the end of this season.
