Profootballtalk reports the Packers are the "leaders" for free agent Steven Jackson.

Normally, GM Ted Thompson doesn't shell out the cash for players on the wrong side of 30, but Jackson has expressed a desire to play with Aaron Rodgers and could be the missing piece to the offense. Jackson is certainly aiming to latch on with a contending team that has a murky running back situation.

This shocks me to be honest I was sure Jackson would end up in Atl. They may not have been able to pay him with Gonzalez coming back 1 more year.

Not that worried. Not the guy he used to be. Bruising backs playing in pass first offenses dont normally work out that well.
