It would be a daunting request for anybody to travel nearly 15,000 miles over the course of nine days and then begin a very physical day of work at 12 Noon when your body is just waking up, but that is precisely what the Rainbow Warriors of Hawaii face this Saturday in Ann Arbor, Michigan as the MICHIGAN WOLVERINES open the 2016 campaign in front of 110,000 reinvigorated fans with high expectations.

Ranked #7 in the pre-season poll, MICHIGAN embarks on its second year under the direction of Head Coach and proven winner Jim Harbaugh. And while most of the off-season headlines focused on Coach Harbaugh; his clothing, Tweets, jabs at the SEC and the starkly controversial (rolls eyes) satellite camps, it was barely mentioned that the Wolverines return the vast majority of starters on both sides of the ball along with bringing back the only non-Offense position player being mentioned in pre-season Heisman talks. With the departure of recently drafted QB Jake Rudock, the Wolverines are expected to turn the reigns over to veteran thrower Wilton Speight, along with Houston transfer John O?Korn as back up. One thing the 2016 MICHIGAN team is not lacking is depth at most every position.

Boasting the 109th ranked Defense in 2015, the Hawaii program once known for its prolific offense has fallen off the past few years following the departure of coach June Jones. Since he left for SMU, an attempt to bring in Hawaiian native Norm Chow proved futile, so now under a new head coach and in search of reclaiming its football identity as a scoring machine, Hawaii comes into the game already (0-1) having dropped its first game to CAL in Sydney, Australia. And while CAL (the Pac-12 as a whole) is not known for its defense, the team managed to amass 630yds in total offense while scoring 51pts and yielding 31 to the undersized Warriors, in a classic WAC-style shootout.

Las Vegas likes MICHIGAN in this game and has set the opening line at MICHIGAN -41.5 points with an Over/Under of 54.5. If the CAL game is any indication, the Warriors with their spread attack (though the QB isn?t as much of a running threat as you?d expect) will rely heavily on RB Sainte-Juste and a passing game that is spotty at best. With MICHIGAN fielding such an experienced secondary and a defensive front that is one of the nation?s best, Hawaii may be in for a rude 6am awakening at Noon on Saturday.

So post your predictions with some supportive analysis if you wish, but as always ?leave the woofing and barking for other threads.

Friends ?the long wait is finally over and it?s time to play some football!!

BAND ?.TAKE THE FIELD!!!!

After traveling 15,000 miles, Hawaii will be waking up at about 2 or 3 AM their local time to begin their warm ups. They are going to be worn down to begin the game and they'll be dust by the end.

UM - 55
Rainbow Warriors - 0. No pot of gold.

Very nice work, Vic.

The Rainbow Warriors will be no match for Michigan.

UM 56
HI 10

52-7 Michigan

Sorry guys. If I merge the posts from the other thread, it will sort them by time, meaning Vic's post would get buried.

49-3 M. Michigan will try to call off the dogs, but Hawaii sucks. Karan Higdon will score on a late 40+ yard run to get to 49.

45-0 Michigan. Start of another string of shutouts by Michigan.
